At Starr Wellness, we strive to support young professionals in improving their overall wellness. We do this through providing a supportive, inclusive environment which provides our clients with multiple options to move them towards improved mental and physical health.

"We believe that in this overstimulated World, there is a strong need for our unique approach to overall wellness.

Through my experience with patients, the community, and my own children, I see a growing need for these services and this approach. I am motivated to increase the awareness of the issues we can help treat, as well as the tools we use."

Wellness can mean different things to different people, I have always found this to be the basis for my interactions with clients.  My journey was one that meandered, both out of desire for exploration and growth as well as out of necessity at certain times of my life, but through it all I always believed in the importance of finding ones’ own balance of physical, emotional and mental health, I truly believe that you can’t have one without the others.  My interest began right out of the gate in University as I did a Specialization in Recreational therapy as well as a minor in Health and Lifestyle Management and then went on to a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I not only tried to instill holistic wellness to my clients but to my children as well, which has led me to Starr Wellness.  I truly look forward to supporting people on their journey to wellness, whatever that may look like for them.

In Association

I have a passion for helping people discover the foods and wellness habits that allow them to feel their best. I am, by nature, a seeker, I love understanding why we do what we do. I have always had a passion for food and how it works within the body.  Food is so powerful, it sustains us, can bring pleasure or discomfort and it affects how we live every single day. My curious nature led me initially to The University of Ottawa where I obtained a Geography and Environmental Studies degree, shortly after I felt so drawn towards learning more about my curiosities of nutrition which then led me to obtain a Diploma in Natural Nutrition through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I started Plant Forward Nutrition and became a Certified Yoga Teacher. Using a holistic approach I help my clients cultivate a healthy relationship with food and their body.
